Exclusive 32Stitches Interview

*This interview was edited for clarity*

How have you been these days? What’s been keeping you busy?

I have been better than ever. Keeping myself busy with new projects, making time to look out for my health, studio time, expanding the work horizons for my other projects including the label I co-own, Music High Court.

Your new single “Are We There Yet” featuring BAER is finally out – how does it feel to have the track available to the public?

The moment Baer and I finished the track, I was so excited that we were gonna be putting this one out. It is one of my favorite vocals I have worked on. So it feels great to actually share it with the world.

Are you getting the feedback you hoped for?

Honestly, even better. The track was featured on multiple editorial playlists, charted #1 on iTunes, been constantly receiving love on all my social media.

You also have ‘Olympus’ coming out on the 10th of July on NoCopyrightSounds, can you tell us a little bit about that and what we might be able to expect?

Well since the project I work on highly depends on how I’m feeling that day – all my tracks have a different flavor. When I was working on “Olympus,” I just finished the new part of God Of War (I’m a big-time gamer) and the battle of Thor and Kratos was just so inspiring it ended up being told as a story in my own style. So that’s where “Olympus” came from.

How do you find it within your production processes to create songs on such opposite sides of the spectrum, for example, the difference between “Are We There Yet” and “Olympus”?

I’m a very keen learner. Not only music but everything that sparks curiosity, I gotta know. So since I listen to absolutely all kinds of music, I think that’s what expands my own spectrum. I believe just working on a very particular sound will get boring eventually so I love to experiment.

What has been your main source of musical inspiration as of late?

Lately, my fixation for Porter Robinson has made a solid comeback and I’m adding my touch to a legendary track by him. No spoilers about what track it is but let’s just say I’m super excited to be putting that out soon!

When it comes to your own personal craft – what sort of strengths do you feel like you possess that sets you apart?

I feel the only strength I have is passion. I just have a lot of love for music. Whatever comes my way, the next track is already being worked on. Keeps me sane so that I can utilize my time in a positive way.

Is there anything you’ve been trying to work on or improve within your craft?

Not in this zone but as I don’t restrict myself just to dance music, I have been working on 3D/binaural sound lately. It’s still gonna be a while until I put something out in that zone but I’m just really excited to have this new thing going on.

India Electronica

How is the electronic scene in India? Tell us what it’s been like growing up in India pursuing music – What sort of experience have you had? Has it been easy or difficult?

The electronic music scene in India is growing pretty fast. People are very enthusiastic about concerts/festivals. Asia’s largest music festival is also based here so they have helped educate the market quite a lot. Honestly, I’ve been lucky enough to travel around the world and have my work peers in different corners. It helps connect and collectively grow the market here too with help from some heavyweights. I think with all the aspiring producers that are from India, it is our responsibility to grow the scene here.

Do you have any sort of advice to someone that’s just starting out and working to pursue a musical career?

Don’t do drugs and have patience. Not every track is gonna see the light of the day.

What can you be found doing outside of making music and in your free time?

I’d probably be at the gym or on my PlayStation.
