This week RMR is continuing our segment Hot Music Friday where we share fire music from the past week. Today, we have some great songs for you to check out!
For this episode, we are again focusing on new hip-hop, as well as some pop-influenced tracks. Our list includes 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, Steve Aoki and many more!
“Call Me Revenge”- 21 Savage and d4vd
To kick things off on a strong note, 21 Savage and d4vd released a great song. It is featured on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The song includes an athemic hook sung by d4vd as well as some great verses by 21 Savage. The song is sonically perfect for Call of Duty and worth checking out!
“Presha (with Lil Wayne)” – 2 Chainz
Lil Wayne is back on our list this week with his feature on 2 Chainz new tune “Presha”. Both rappers lend great lyrics over a super unique trap-inspired beat, that contains whistle like sounds. Lil Wayne has a great verse on this track, showing us why he has been featured on so many great tracks recently.
“Must Be Me”- Gucci Mane
Gucci Mane is back on our Hot Music Friday list this week with his new reflective song “Must Be Me”. On top of Gucci Mane’s iconic rapping, this track also includes a great instrumental intro, as well a great bass line, saxophone part, 808 beat, and some gorgeous backing vocals throughout!
“Heard of Me” – YoungBoy Never Broke Again
Youngboy Never Broke Again is about to be in your ears this weekend with “Heard of Me”. Youngboy lends his unique rap style to another great song, rapping over a super intense beat, but staying in the pocket throughout.
“Murder & Millions” – Key Glock
Key Glock also makes an appearance on our Hot Music Friday list this week with his new tune “Murder & Millions”. The song has deep lyrics and the piano and guitar parts incorporated in the beat add another element to the track.
“Pit Stop (feat. French Montana)”- Lola Brooke
Lola Brooke is once again proving why she has been so successful recently, with her new song “Pit Stop”. The song is stocked full of great instrumental parts and some great hits that help build the intensity of the track. Lola Brooke’s iconic attitude-driven lyrics shine through and French Montana adds a great verse.
“Lighter” – Steve Aoki & Paris Hilton
In the electronic category for this week’s Hot Music Friday, Steve Aoki gave us a great new single “Lighter”. The instrumental is stocked full of distorted bass lines, 808 parts, and loads of peaks and drops. Paris Hilton’s distorted vocals add to the feel of the song. “Lighter” will definitely be heard in clubs around the world!
“In The City” – Charli XCX & Sam Smith
To round out this Hot Music Friday with a pop-influenced track, Charlie XCX and Sam Smith’s new single “In The City”. Although the song features pop vocals, it is also full of electronic-influenced production, which is bound to peak our listener’s interest.
