Once again partnering with Relentless Beats, we were invited to cover the inaugural NYE Decadence Festival in Chandler, Arizona at the ever so famous Rawhide Towne & Event Center.
Getting to the Festival
While exiting the freeway in Chandler, all there is to see is desert. For a mile or so, there is nothing but dirt and cacti. As the playlist to every artist on the line up continues to bump in the car, the desert slowly turns into something magical.
It’s just a couple of blocks to get to the entrance of Rawhide. The biggest Ferris wheel is now completely visible to the eye and the excitement starts to kick in even more. Finally walking onto the grounds past security check, the environment of Decadence takes people into a different vision of Arizona. A scenario that involves ice. There were so many life-sized jewels and crystals beaming of light sitting all over festival grounds. At this point the jewels, the people, the music, and all three stages represent Decadence Arizona.
The Ice Kings and the Ice Queens
Is it really a festival without all of the people? Decadence had some of the most beautiful people from not only Arizona but all over the country. In fact, I met some people who came from California, New York, Seattle, Miami, and so many other states. Of course, almost everyone matches the theme. They wore silver and blue, along with glitter, masks, hula hoops, and we can’t forget the candy. Aside from outfits, the Totem game was COLD. Along with some of our favorite people, here are some of the very best totems.
BONUS: Phoenix Lights Music Festival
Relentless Beats is also killing the spring festival game in the Southwest with Phoenix Lights. This year’s lineup is somewhat similar to GoldRush Festival, with a little twist. You don’t have as many hip-hop artists on the lineup, however, the ones that are on there make up for the rest.
Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, and one of hip hop’s most notorious producers, Metro Boomin are slotted for sets. The other side of the lineup also features Diplo, Martin Garrix, Zomboy, Seven Lions, Chris Lake, Ray Volpe, and many more. Relentless Beats has a completely different lineup for their deep house collection, RBDeep. That includes Will Clarke, Mark Kinchen, Eli & Fur, and very special guest, Green Velvet.
