Treehawk Farms’ approach to growing cannabis is different than most farms in Washington state. Each of their artisanal strains features a distinct terpene profile along with beautiful buds. Their most popular cannabis is the Candyland Cookies or Magnum P.I.
The Candyland Cookies is a sativa strain produced from Granddaddy Purple and Bay Platinum Cookies. In 2017, Treehawk Farms was the only Washington producer with the strain according to Culture Magazine.
The buds for Candyland Cookies are absolutely stunning. Splotches of purple and green blend together to create a darker and different looking nug. The pungent smell usually seeps through the ziplock portion of the bag.
Sweet notes greet the nose first, followed by a noticeably earthy aroma. Cracking my first nug open left small bits of weed stuck to my fingers. As I loaded my bowl, the earthy aroma lingered on my fingers.
I loaded a snapper-sized portion into my bong for the first rip. Immediately after finishing, I loaded another larger bowl. Doing so was probably the best decision I made at such an early time in the day. The Peru vs. Denmark match had just started for the World Cup. Right away, the fog I was feeling from barely being awake was lifted.
The flavor of the weed matched the smell perfectly. The cookies high blended in perfectly with the uplifting effects making this an ideal strain for summer days. Candyland Cookies from Treehawk Farms is typically found at Belmar please call ahead to confirm.
Be sure to check out the Treehawk Farms vendor day this Friday (6/29) from 4-7 at Belmar.
