Sour Diesel is a memorable and potentially energizing sativa strain that became popular in the early 1990s. Also sometimes referred to as “Sour D” and “Sour Deez”, this strain gets its name from its pungent flavor profile, which many say smells like diesel fuel.

Sour Diesel Strain
Sour D is made from a combination of Chemdawg and Super Skunk strains. As a result of the mix, the nugs of the strain are light green and skunky smelling. Although both parent strains aren’t sativa dominant, they share the same dominant terpene: Caryophyllene.
Chemdawg is made from Thai and Nepalese strains, potentially adding anxiety and stress-fighting properties. Similarly, Super Skunk may help fight the same things, crafted from Skunk #1 and Afghani strains. Offspring of Sour Diesel include the Headband and Sour Apple strains, among many others.

Strain User Reviews
“Another of my personal favorites. Extremely cerebral whenever I consumed it, but, as many others have pointed out, there really is no “couch-lock.” It makes your frontal lobe act in ways you could never have imagined. It’s almost like Sour Diesel is a key, a key that opens up whole realms of your mind that you were once ignorant of. A++ Will smoke again.”
