The west coast may have most of the cannabis expos right now, but they don’t have the National Cannabis Festival. On June 23rd the festival staff announced their 2021 installment, which will be taking place about a month from now on August 28th. This is one of the biggest cannabis festivals on the east coast.
The event is taking place at the RFK Festival Grounds on the Anacostia River. Activities include a munchies bar, live music, a fair, and even a wedding. A Cannabis Fair, a Munchies Bar…and an Ultimate Weed Wedding
There’s a lot going on at NCF, and the coordinators can pat themselves on the back for their creativity. Every legit cannabis festival has a place for exhibitors, and NCF’s has over 100 brands signed on at the moment. Not too far away there will also be education pavilions. Four locations are being reserved to teach patrons about cannabis policy, wellness, culture, and growth.

Some of the more unique activities include the aforementioned “Ultimate Weed Wedding,” hosted by Relva CBD. And no, this isn’t just a skit. National Cannabis Festival held a contest where one lucky couple wins this opportunity, and staff already picked their winner. Another experience to note is a Veterans Lounge hosted by Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA.) It’s easy to conclude that the NCF staff aim to truly consider everything.

Live Music at National Cannabis Festival
The stage at NCF is going to be bumping all day and night. Headliners Redman and Method Man appear at the end of the day, trailing a list of fire artists. Attendees will get the chance to see Young M.A, Antibalas, Backyard Band, The Archives, DJ Farrah Flosscett, and psychedelic funk rockers Lee, Blackwood & Graham.
